Fa dies que el focus informatiu està posat al Congrés espanyol i en la perpèntica reforma del Codi Penal. És tan baix el nivell que, quan vaig sentir la Clara Ponsatí al Parlament Europeu dient el que ara sentireu, em va semblar un enorme glob d’aire fresc. El vídeo ha corregut per Twitter partit en tres parts. Però, com que hi ha gent que no té Twitter, hem pensat que seria útil posar els tres vídeos junts i penjar-los amb un únic enllaç que es pogués compartir per WhatsApp i per Telegram.
Em sento identificada. La tremolor de la ràbia i la de la Clara Ponsatí són tres minuts que valen el seu pes en or. Malauradament, determinació d’aquestes ens en falta. Si ho comparteixes amb els teus contactes de WhatsApp i Telegram, millor.

Resposta d’un eurodiputat espanyol:

“Lamentablemente, después de escuchar a la señora Ponsatí, no puedo sino denunciar varias cosas.
Lo primero: la señora Ponsatí es una prófuga de la justicia española, y lo es precisamente por haber querido alterar el orden constitucional.
En segundo lugar: los niños que hablan español y quieren ser educados en español en Cataluña son precisamente aquellos a los que no se les reconoce ese derecho.
España es un país maravilloso en el que hay muchas lenguas cooficiales. Y justo la lengua que compartimos todos los españoles es la lengua en la que, en algunos territorios, familias que quieren educar a sus hijos en español simplemente no pueden hacerlo.
Reciben todo tipo de acoso y todo tipo de impedimentos para garantizar un derecho fundamental: educar a tus hijos en su lengua materna.
Por lo tanto, nada de lo que ha dicho la señora Ponsatí es cierto, y lamento profundamente que se utilice este Parlamento para decir esas cosas.

I participated in a government that organized a referendum, and that doesn’t make me a criminal. Spanish authorities…
I have always defended myself in the courts of law that have asked me to do so, and I’m not a fugitive. I was part of a democratic government that organized a referendum.
A referendum is a situation where people put pieces of paper in boxes.
If that is a crime, we should revise the status of Spain as a member of the Union.
And if you have doubts about the status of Spanish in Catalan schools, just go walk on the streets of Barcelona and try to find a child that does not speak Spanish.
And then try to find a child that speaks good Catalan —and that’s going to be a lot more difficult.
